Fragmenta Faunistica
Fragmenta Faunistica is an international, semiannual journal published by the Museum and Institute of Zoology of the Polish Academy of Sciences. First published in 1930, the journal originally appeared under the title Fragmenta Faunistica Musei Zoologici Polonici until 1953. It is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal that publishes papers devoted to fauna—its differentiation, distribution, and transformations.
The primary focus of the journal is faunology, which quantitatively examines the dynamics and structure of faunal complexes. Fragmenta Faunistica publishes original research articles, review papers, and syntheses related to faunology, as well as to related disciplines such as zoogeography, zoocoenology, and taxonomy.
All manuscripts are peer-reviewed.
